ATTENTION! Update on HVAC and Roof Leak Status To be clear, there is progress being made. We now have another estimate and contract being considered for the HVAC replacement, and there are 5 roofing contractors assigned to evaluate our buildings. In many cases, it is thought that the HVAC replacment is dependent upon the roofing repairs, so the work considerations are quite complex.
Please be aware that you may see people on the rooftops. If anything looks suspicious, be sure to let Patty Marin-Trigueros, head of the Safety Committee know, inform your block captain, or call Lordon. Shannon will provide me with the names of the contractors so we can verify that we do not have strangers crawling on our roofs. As always, Lordon has a 24/7 response policy for emergencies. Please call them to report any emergencies. As always, please be a good neighbor and keep your friends who do not have email or web access in the loop.
Respectfully, Mary Anderson, Chair, Communications Committee ATTENTION! Update from Lordon Management regarding the damage to the block wall on 10/1: To recap, on October 1, 2009 in the late afternoon, a vehicle jumped the curb and went through the block wall on Arrow Hwy. At this time we do not have any information on the driver of the vehicle. We have requested a copy of the police report from the Covina Police Department. It takes 5-10 business days to get a copy of the report. The police report should have the driver's information as well as their insurance information. Trimark is currently doing the clean up which was approved today by William (Taylor). Lordon is collecting proposals for the repairs of the block wall. Once proposals are collected they will be forwarded to the board, so a decision can be made as to whether a claim should be submitted to the association's insurance company or not. In the event insurance information for the driver of the vehicle is provided in the police report we will put a claim into their insurance company and proceed from there.
